Day 5 - Fitzroy Island

Despite more rain and an overcast, windy day we persisted and headed off to Fitzroy Island.

After a pretty choppy boat ride - with two members almost needing to use the white paper bag - we arrived at Fitzroy Island with it raining. We grabbed our snorkeling gear and headed out in the glass bottom boat. We visited White Rock, Shark Finn Bay and then onto the inner reef for a bit of snorkeling. Plenty of coral and zebra fish  were seen. Unfortunately no turtles.

After lunch we had a walk to Nudie Beach to admire the coral sand and view.

Chuck and kelli learnt all about the turtle rehab taking place on the Island.

After Fitroy Island a few geocache were completed before tea.

Russell and family decided to try the Prawn Star for a feed of Tiger Prawns and Morten Bay Bugs. This was certainly a thumbs up from all.

Chuck and Kelli tried the local Zambrero's.
